Lauren Hughes is the Creative Director of Hughes Studio, a design studio devoted to telling stories through pattern. Inspired by the tradition of Toile de Jouy, Hughes Studio transforms people, places, memories, and meaningful details into intricate narrative patterns—creating something that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

Raised in Charleston and now based in Los Angeles, Lauren’s work is shaped by an appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of place. Drawing from the visual language of traditional decorative arts, she reinterprets these influences through a contemporary lens, creating patterns that honor the past while feeling distinctly of the present.
